Creating fake images
We have been learning about Smart Media in our Cybersmart lessons. Fake images is a part of learning about Smart Media. Sometimes we can see images online and we think they are real but they are not. They are images created by people using digital technologies. Today, we made our own fake images. It was a fun lesson to see what we can create. Some of us put ourselves in different backgrounds like different holiday destinations, movie scenes and even space.
Here is Cassie’s create work from today’s lesson
David and Goliath illustrations
Today we were learning about the story of David and Goliath. First we watched a short animation about the story of how David won a battle against Goliath using rocks. Eventhoug David was younger and samller than Goliath, he won because God was with him.
For our create task we animated the story in EE using the drawing tools. Here are some of our animations

Flags
Today for our Cybersmart lesson we were learning about flags. We had to match the flag to its country and then, we created our own flags. To create our own flags we had to think about colours which represent us. We also had to think about symbols which describes something about us.
Here is Fa’alili’s flag work from today.
Learning about Turkey
In our cybersmart lesson with Mrs Tofa, we were learning about a country called Turkey. We were able to browse a website on our Explain Everything project to gather our information. It was very interesting to learn about Turkey. It is a country that is far from New Zealand.
We had to answer some questions using the information from the website. Here is Paul’s recording.

Reflecting on how our blog comments make us feel
Today we looked at some blog comments on our class blog and reflected on how they make us feel. We had to choose an emoji to represent how we feel and also record ourselves explaining how the comments made us feel. It was good to learn about the importance of being kind when commenting on blog posts because we have to think about how the blog post author might feel.
Here are some recordings done by our class members
Reading a story on Explain Everything
Today we read a story on Explain Everything called Matariki Breakfast. We also answered some questions about the story. Here is Paul’s recording for his reading activity.
